How do i record an entry?
Open the App and tap Record on the home screen. Speak for as long as you’d like (up to 30 seconds on the free tier, or without limit if you’ve unlocked Unlimited Recording), then tap Done to review, and Confirm to save.
Why is my recording limited to 30 seconds?
The free version of Echo caps entries at 30 seconds to keep the daily ritual short and to help support the app through occasional ads. If you’d like to record for longer and remove ads, you can purchase Unlimited Recording in Settings → Premium.
I brought Unlimited Recording but its not showing as active?
Go to Settings → Premium and tap Restore Purchases. If the purchase still doesn’t appear, make sure you’re signed in with the same Apple ID you used to buy it, then contact us at the address above and we’ll help.
How do i get a refund?
Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple, not by us. Visit https://reportaproblem.apple.com and select the Echo Journal purchase. Refunds are at Apple’s discretion.
How do i delete an entry?
Open the entry and tap the trash icon in the top right. Deleted entries are held in the in-app Trash for 30 days before being permanently removed. You can empty the Trash at any time via Settings → Data → Trash.
How do i delete everything?
Deleting the App from your device removes all local entries, recordings, and preferences. Nothing is stored on our servers, so uninstalling is a complete wipe.
Where are my recordings stored?
Only on your device. Your voice never leaves your phone. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Can i export my entries?
Not yet in-app. If you’d like to request a copy of your data, contact us and we’ll help you extract it manually.
The daily reminder isn't working
Check iOS Settings → Notifications → Echo Journal and make sure notifications are allowed. Then in the App, go to Settings → Daily Reminder and re-enable the reminder.
Face ID isn't unlocking the app
Check iOS Settings → Face ID & Passcode → Other Apps → Echo Journal and make sure Face ID is allowed. If it’s still not working, use your device passcode as a fallback.

– The version of Echo Journal you’re using (visible at the bottom of Settings)

– A short description of what happened, and what you expected to happen
