You loved the meal last time, but what did you actually order? Aftertaste keeps a record of every dish you eat out. Take a photo, rate it with one tap and add a quick note. When you go back, your favourites are waiting, so you order what you loved instead of guessing.

Logging a dish takes seconds. Take a photo mid-meal, before the food goes cold. Give your verdict with a single tap: Loved it, Fine or Never again. Add a note if you like, such as "Ask for it extra peppery" or "Skip the side", and that's it. Aftertaste creates each restaurant automatically as you go, so there's no setting up.
Your favourites, first
Every restaurant gets its own page, and each one starts with Order again, so the dishes you loved are the first thing you see. Browse all your dishes in a photo grid and filter them to find what you're after. Open the map to see everywhere you've eaten, pinned by how much you enjoyed it. Heard about a dish you have to try? Add it to your wish list. When you've tried it, tap Tried it and it moves straight into your log.
Your taste, kept private
Aftertaste is your food diary, not a review site. There are no accounts, no feeds and no star ratings from strangers. Every dish, photo and note stays on your iPhone. The App Store privacy label says "Data Not Collected", because we don't collect any.

Aftertaste was designed and built by CKC Technologies in the UK. We kept going back to our favourite restaurants and forgetting which dish we’d loved, so we built an app to remember it for us.

Getting started
What is Aftertaste?
Aftertaste is a dish tracker for iPhone. It remembers the individual dishes you’ve eaten out and how much you liked them.
How is it different from a restaurant review app?
Review apps rate the place. Aftertaste tracks the dish, using only your own opinion.
Do I need an account?
No. Open the app and start logging.
What devices does it work on?
It works on iPhone with iOS 17 or later, Macs with Apple silicon running macOS 14 or later, and Apple Vision Pro with visionOS 1 or later.

How do I rate a dish?
One tap: Loved it, Fine or Never again.
Do I have to add a restaurant first?
No. Restaurants are created automatically as you log dishes.
Can I add notes?
Yes. Add anything you want to remember, such as how to order it or what to skip next time.

How do I find my favourites when I go back?
Open the restaurant’s page. The dishes you loved appear first under Order again.
What does the map show?
It shows everywhere you’ve eaten, pinned by how much you enjoyed it.
What is the wish list for?
Save dishes you’ve heard about but haven’t tried yet. Tap Tried it and they move into your log.
Privacy
Where are my photos and notes stored?
Only on your iPhone.
Does Aftertaste collect any data?
No. The App Store privacy label is “Data Not Collected”.
Will other people see my ratings?
No. There are no public feeds or reviews. Your ratings are just for you.

What are Trips?

No. It’s a one-time purchase of £5.99, and the core app is free forever.
